About This Dataset
The sample collection contains brain tumors and other solid tumors in children as well as blood samples, in some cases cerebrospinal fluid and isolated frozen cells from tumor biopsies. Blood samples from parents are also collected. The histopathological diagnosis of each tumor sample is confirmed by central review by a clinical pathologist. All samples in the Children's Tumor Bank are registered in a LIMS (Laboratory Information Management System), LabWare LIMS SMB, for safe handling of sample data and to ensure traceability.
